The 2014-2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors

FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1975, THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS.

It has been nearly seventeen hours since Stephen Curry heaved the ball into the air as the Warriors celebrated their first NBA Championship in 40 seasons.
And with this title under their belts, it is beginning to set in for Golden State fans how truly special their championship-caliber roster was this season.
A roster that swept the New Orleans Pelicans in the Quarterfinals, rallied from a seemingly insurmountable 2-1 series deficit to dispatch of the Memphis Grizzlies in six Semifinal games, and demolished the Houston Rockets in an almost embarrassing five-game Conference Finals series victory...
However, all of the aforementioned victories were merely small steps leading up to Golden State's dethroning of King James in the NBA Finals to assume their position as the new-found NBA Champions.
Additionally, all of these victories came without the Warriors being forced to utilize their incomparable home court advantage in a nerve-wrecking Game 7 atmosphere.
And with their 67 regular season wins and 16 postseason wins, the 2014-2015 Golden State Warriors will likely go down as the third best team in NBA history (behind only two Chicago Bulls teams, which Steve Kerr, coincidentally, was also a part of).
For such an incredible accomplishment, these resilient Warriors deserve to be commended.
The question now becomes: is their recent success sustainable? And will we see another champagne celebration in the Warriors' locker room in the near future?

Why Quidditch Is Totally Ridiculous (Yet We Still Love It)

On June 26, 1997,  Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling introduced the world to a remarkable new sport called Quidditch. In theory, Rowling's invention is fairly simple. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, I will provide a brief description of its rules.  Quidditch is played in a 7-on-7 format on flying broomsticks. Each team features three "Chasers" who attempt to throw a large ball (called the Quaffle) past the opposing team's "Keeper" into one of three circular hoops.  Every time the Chasers succeed in beating the Keeper, their team is awarded 10 points. Meanwhile, there are a pair of bat-wielding "Beaters" on each team who add to the chaos by clubbing two smaller balls (called Bludgers) at their opposition. TWD World Beyond: Brave (Episode 1.01)

On Sunday, October 4, AMC aired the series premiere of World Beyond , the third installment in The Walking Dead franchise. Though billed as a limited series (featuring only two seasons with a total of 20 episodes), World Beyond generated much anticipation throughout the fandom for a variety of reasons -- the most obvious being further knowledge about a three-ring emblem spotted on helicopters in each of the franchise's two established series.
