Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers 03/08/2015

After notching yet another impressive home victory on Friday night against Dallas, the Golden State Warriors stepped onto their home court this afternoon for an intense battle with their biggest nemesis - the Los Angeles Clippers.
Today's contest would surely feature everything: two high-octane offenses, gritty defenses, and above all, bitter rivals. Golden State would certainly have to play impressive basketball in order to win their sixth straight at Oracle Arena.
And, as expected, the Warriors were up to the challenge.
Though Golden State's offense stagnated early, they were eventually able to establish a solid game plan that allowed them to cruise to their 49th victory of the season.
With Stephen Curry (12 points) largely out of the scoring equation, the Warriors relied heavily on their role players to chip in offensively.
Shaun Livingston (21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals) was a standout performer off of Golden State's bench today.
Draymond Green (23 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block) also provided a large chunk of the Warriors' offense.
However, perhaps the most enjoyable performance of the afternoon was the re-emergence of Klay Thompson, who finally rediscovered his jumper, chipping in with 21 points of his own on 9-of-13 shooting.
Nevertheless, the secret to Golden State's success thus far this season seems to be their vast improvement defensively. The Warriors are now 31-0 when limiting their opponents to fewer than 100 points.
We'll see if that trend continues as Golden State takes to the road tomorrow in the house of the Phoenix Suns.
